Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and highly motivated Associate Attorney with experience in medical malpractice defense to join its growing team. Duties

  • Oversee and manage an active caseload from inception through resolution.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda.

  • Represent clients at hearings, court conferences, and depositions.

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants on case strategy.

  • Participate in mediations and negotiations.

  • Prepare cases for trial, including development of litigation strategy.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience in medical malpractice defense litigation.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar.
