Attorney - Personal Injury Protection

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney to join its defense-oriented legal team in Mount Clemens, MI. This position focuses on handling No-Fault and Negligence litigation matters, offering opportunities to engage in legal research, court appearances, and client advocacy while collaborating with a dedicated team of legal professionals.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and other necessary filings.
• Manage the discovery process, including preparing and responding to written discovery requests, conducting depositions, and reviewing evidence.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including motions, hearings, and trials.
• Perform comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Summarize and analyze depositions, evidence, and case details to develop litigation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with legal teams and maintain effective communication with clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan or recently completed the Michigan Bar Examination and awaiting results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and courtroom advocacy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with legal billing software and court procedures.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

• Active Michigan State Bar license or pending results from the Michigan Bar Examination.

Skills:

• Excellent persuasive writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strategic thinking and attention to detail in developing case strategies.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional integrity.
