A law firm seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role focuses on creditor’s rights and civil litigation within a fast-paced environment. The attorney will be responsible for managing legal proceedings, working closely with paralegals, and making court appearances across the state. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with legal teams and clients.

Duties

  • Represent clients in retail consumer collections and creditor’s rights matters.

  • Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to case management.

  • Appear in court throughout Ohio for hearings and legal proceedings.

  • Manage case dockets efficiently and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Troubleshoot case-related issues with paralegals, courts, and opposing counsel.

  • Conducted legal research and provided strategic advice to clients.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar.

  • 1-3 years of experience in creditor’s rights, civil litigation, or related practice areas.

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel for court appearances within Ohio.

  • Proficiency with legal technology and case management systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Ohio State Bar.
