Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Chicago is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The role involves managing a variety of cases with a focus on Labor and Employment Law, Legal Advice, Research, and Negotiation. Duties:

• Handle daily legal tasks related to litigation, including case preparation, legal research, and client advisement.
• Manage a diverse caseload with an emphasis on Labor and Employment Law, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Provide legal counsel to clients, ensuring their goals are met with cost-effective strategies.
• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to ensure case progression.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in Illinois state laws and regulations, and apply them to cases as necessary.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Strong understanding of Illinois state laws and regulations, particularly in Labor and Employment Law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients in high-stakes situations.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Ethical mindset with a commitment to client advocacy and legal professionalism.
• Previous experience in civil litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Illinois Bar License.
