Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including managing employee benefits, executive compensation matters, and providing support for mergers and acquisitions. Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Draft, design, implement, and administer both tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
  • Oversee and provide legal advice on health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Manage executive compensation and benefits aspects related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Handle tax-related issues associated with executive compensation, including compliance with Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Draft and design employment and executive compensation agreements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Strong academic background and relevant experience within a law firm setting.
  • Exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ambition, drive, and a collaborative team-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the state of practice or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and executive compensation regulations.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions in relation to employee benefits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
