Job Overview: A leading law firm based in Port Charlotte, FL, is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and fully remote environment, handling a variety of business disputes. The firm represents clients such as homeowners, contractors, consumers, and small businesses, focusing on cases related to contract disputes, real estate matters, construction issues, and intellectual property litigation.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents including letters, memos, motions, orders, and pleadings
• Prepare lead attorney for hearings and court proceedings
• Manage case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely case progression
• Collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff on discovery and case management efforts
• Conduct in-depth legal research on a wide range of legal issues

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of litigation experience
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-moving and detail-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Clio (preferred, but not mandatory)
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a distraction-free work environment

Education:

• Graduated with honors (cum laude or higher) from an accredited law school
• Ranked in the top 25% of the graduating class
• High proficiency in legal research and writing, with top marks in these courses
• LSAT score of 155 or higher

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting
