Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to represent clients in various criminal matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for court representation, legal research, document drafting, and staying current with relevant legal developments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, sentencing memoranda, and other court filings.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various criminal law issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in state and federal criminal legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm.
  • Advise and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress and legal options.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing as an attorney, with specific experience in criminal defense.
  • Active Pennsylvania Bar License (must be in good standing).
  • Experience or familiarity with criminal law in Pennsylvania.
