Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and possess strong written and interpersonal communication skills. The role requires the ability to advocate for clients in court, develop case strategies, and handle a variety of legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Consult with clients to understand their legal issues and provide counsel.
• Develop and implement case strategies tailored to client needs.
• Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and build a comprehensive case.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, briefs, and motions.
• Conduct pre-trial activities, including depositions, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Represent clients in court, agency proceedings, ADR sessions, motion hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with legal staff and other attorneys on case management and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in the State of North Carolina (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective advocacy.
• Ability to manage caseloads independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work independently on case strategy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in North Carolina (required).
• South Carolina licensure is a plus but not required.
