A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with expertise in Trusts & Estates law to join their Pasadena, CA office. This role is perfect for an attorney with strong experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in handling complex trusts and estate matters and be passionate about providing strategic legal advice to clients.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist with the creation and administration of revocable and irrevocable trusts.
  • Manage probate processes and represent clients in probate court when necessary.
  • Guide on the tax implications of estate planning and trust administration.
  • Work with clients to develop comprehensive plans to protect their assets and ensure proper distribution.
  • Prepare and review documents related to estate administration, including fiduciary reports and filings.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals on matters of complex estates, asset protection, and trust disputes.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships while delivering timely and efficient legal solutions.
  • Keep clients informed and updated on the status of their cases, providing exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates law, including estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of fiduciary duties, estate tax laws, and related legal matters.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and complex estate plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proven track record of drafting and reviewing estate planning documents with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to advise clients on legal matters with clear, concise, and effective counsel.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be an active member of the California State Bar or eligible for admission.
