A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Business Immigration Attorney with expertise in handling various visa types and employment-based green card options. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with O-1 visas, P visas, H-1Bs, L-1A/B visas, E-2 visas, and employment-based green cards such as EB-1As, PERM green cards, and NIW EB-2. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on business immigration matters to corporate clients.
  • Prepare and file non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including O-1, P, H-1B, L-1A/B, E-2, EB-1A, PERM, and NIW EB-2.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on immigration laws and regulations.
  • Assist corporate clients in compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee junior attorneys and legal staff on immigration matters.
  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings and interviews as needed.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide regular updates on case status.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois.
  • 7+ years of experience in business immigration law, with a focus on visas and employment-based green cards.
  • Expertise in handling O-1 visas, P visas, H-1Bs, L-1A/B visas, E-2 visas, EB-1As, PERM green cards, and NIW EB-2.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of immigration compliance issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Illinois.

  • Proficiency in preparing and filing visa petitions and applications.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
