Job Overview:
A law firm in Ardmore, PA is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will handle a broad range of litigation matters, including commercial litigation while collaborating with the firm's partners and clients. The role requires a hands-on approach to case strategy, document preparation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop claims and defenses based on the facts presented in each case.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish the strategic direction for cases.
  • Prepare and file various legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda.
  • Advocate for clients’ interests both in court and during negotiations with opposing counsel.
  • Conduct and prepare for depositions, addressing discovery disputes as they arise.
  • Negotiate settlements in line with client goals and legal best practices.
  • Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on federal cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact ongoing litigation.

Requirements:

  • Litigation experience, with significant exposure to commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal litigation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop case strategies based on comprehensive legal research and factual analysis.
  • Experience handling all aspects of discovery, including depositions and discovery disputes.
  • Proficient in drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, and motions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in Pennsylvania.

Certifications:

  • Admittance to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania preferred.
  • Additional state bar admissions are a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal concepts to clients and opposing counsel.
