Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will bring litigation experience in both state and federal courts, possess strong writing, research, and analytical abilities, and be capable of managing cases with minimal supervision. The role offers the opportunity to work on impactful cases involving civil rights, employment disputes, and more, including trial and appellate work.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents including motions, ex-parte motions, and oppositions to summary judgment motions
• Present arguments in state and federal courts
• Assist with trial preparation and serve as second chair during trials
• Participate in appellate court proceedings
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings in both state and federal courts

Requirements:

• Proven experience with litigation in state and federal courts
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with electronic filing in both state and federal courts is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must possess an active Bar license
