Complex Motions and Appeals Of Counsel

Denver office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks complex motions and appeals of counsel with 6+ years of associate or counsel-level experience in a law firm or corporate setting. The candidate will deliver polished, file-ready motions and briefs of significance. Will have the ability to research, analyze, and handle complex and novel legal and factual issues. Advise partners and clients on litigation, trial, and briefing strategies, including how best to approach complex issues or difficult problems. Supervise associates and staff attorneys in drafting briefs and executing litigation strategies. Work as part of a team to prepare cases for trial or appeal, doing so without requiring day-to-day supervision by a partner. Argue motions and appeals as appropriate. Participate on trial teams as a law and motions specialist. Must be Admitted or has a path to admission to practice in the State of Colorado.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a strong ability to interact effectively with a broad range of clients, staff, and other stakeholders. Strong research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills are needed. Strong attention to detail is required. Ability to use initiative and independent judgment to accomplish results is needed. Should have the ability to effectively manage and delegate to junior attorneys. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate and timely manner, and respond appropriately to shifting demands. Ability to work independently but able to escalate and communicate issues in a timely and effective manner is required.
