Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly skilled Private Wealth Associate Attorney with 2-8 years of experience in sophisticated estate planning and related areas. The ideal candidate will be crucial in advising high-net-worth clients on estate planning strategies and managing complex trust and estate administration matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on sophisticated estate planning techniques, including drafting wills, trusts, and other documents.
  • Assist clients with estate and gift tax planning, including charitable planning strategies.
  • Handle trust and estate administration matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and client objectives.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various tax and estate planning issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex client matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Washington, DC.
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience in private wealth and estate planning at a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of estate and gift tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with charitable planning and nonprofit organizations.
  • Knowledge of international estate planning and taxation issues.
  • Familiarity with wealth preservation strategies for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Client service-oriented with solid attention to detail.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Estate Planning or related field (preferred)
