Job Title: Mid-Level Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Denver, CO, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Health Care Litigation and Disputes practice area. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Duties:

  • Draft, design, implement, and administer both tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans as well as health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Handle executive compensation and benefits issues during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Address taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements, including Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Design and draft employment contracts and other executive compensation arrangements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations affecting healthcare litigation and employee benefits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law, particularly within healthcare litigation.
  • Demonstrated high level of academic achievement and law firm experience.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ambition and drive to contribute to the growth and success of the practice.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of health care regulations and employee benefits law.
