Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases, including cyber liability and financial services litigation, from initiation through trial. This role offers the opportunity to manage a variety of cases, engage with clients, and work in a collaborative environment. The attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting documents, defending depositions, attending court hearings, and participating in trials and mediations.

Duties:

• Perform detailed legal research and writing, preparing memorandums and other necessary documents.
• Handle discovery responses, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.
• Conduct depositions and defend clients in various legal proceedings.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and other client meetings, providing effective counsel and representation.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Manage and oversee cases from inception through to resolution, ensuring timely progress and effective results.

Requirements:

• Active licensure to practice law in Florida.
• Proven experience in civil litigation, with a focus on handling cases from start to finish.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive documents.
• Experience in cyber liability cases and handling complex litigation matters.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
