Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Partner-level Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney to join their team. Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage Mergers and Acquisitions transactions from inception to completion.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on complex corporate matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and other relevant contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Cultivate and expand client relationships to grow a portable book of business.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments, regulations, and industry trends relevant to corporate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of corporate transactional experience, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Additional bar admissions in Arizona, Colorado, and/or Nevada are preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and closing M&A deals.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of corporate finance principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Portable book of business is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Advanced degree or certification in business, finance, or related field preferred.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in relevant state bar associations.
  • Continuing legal education (CLE) credits as required by state bar rules.
