Bankruptcy And Restructuring Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Wilmington, DE, seeks a motivated and experienced Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and litigation and exceptional legal writing and communication skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 11 reorganizations.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in bankruptcy litigation and negotiations with creditors and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Assist in creditor committee representations and debtor-in-possession financing matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex bankruptcy cases and appeals.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school with a solid academic record.
• Admission to the Delaware State Bar or ability to waive into the Delaware Bar.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy law, with substantive Chapter 11 experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of bankruptcy litigation procedures and practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Delaware State Bar (or ability to waive in).

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
