Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of robust experience in commercial litigation within a large law firm environment. The ideal candidate will fully understand federal and California state laws pertinent to commercial litigation, and civil procedure and rules of evidence. This role involves collaborating with teams on high-profile, high-stakes cases, making strong research, writing, and communication skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of applicable laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategies and client objectives.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, ensuring clarity and compliance with relevant legal standards.
• Prepare for and participate in discovery, depositions, and trial proceedings, actively contributing to developing case strategy and execution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in federal and California state laws, particularly as they relate to commercial litigation and civil procedure.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, providing them with strategic counsel and updates on case progress.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of litigation practices.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the State of California.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably in a large law firm setting.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and California state laws, civil procedures, and evidence rules.
• Proven track record of managing high-stakes litigation and delivering favorable outcomes for clients.
