Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of personal injury cases, guiding clients through the early stages of legal proceedings. This position offers hybrid or remote work options based on location and qualifications.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases, ensuring timely and efficient progression through pre-litigation stages
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients, addressing their concerns and outlining potential legal strategies
  • Draft, review, and negotiate settlement offers and related legal documents
  • Collaborate with internal teams, medical professionals, and other experts to build strong case foundations
  • Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel to facilitate case resolution
  • Maintain case files, documentation, and records per legal and firm requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, applying them effectively in case management

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active state bar membership in good standing
  • Prior experience in personal injury law, especially pre-litigation, is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active license to practice law in Kentucky (or the state in which the attorney will be working)

Skills:

  • Knowledge of personal injury law and pre-litigation procedures
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
