Duties:

  • Assess new files, establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as necessary.
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of Workers' Compensation practice experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and staff.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
