A law firm in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills, experience with medical records review, and the ability to work independently with a strong work ethic. Virtual work experience or schooling is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in Workers' Compensation defense cases.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Review and analyze medical records, deposition transcripts, and other evidence.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, representing clients effectively.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage a caseload independently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and prepare for trials as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar and member in good standing.
  • Preferably 1+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft clear, persuasive legal documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with virtual work environments is a plus.
