A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in workers' compensation law. The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of experience in Pennsylvania workers' compensation cases, with a focus on reviewing medical records, drafting legal briefs, and handling trial depositions. Duties:

  • Conduct trial depositions, including both medical and fact witness testimonies.
  • Draft comprehensive legal briefs for submission to the court.
  • Manage hearings and take testimony in workers' compensation cases.
  • Travel as needed for court appearances and discovery proceedings.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues to ensure successful case outcomes.
  • Review and analyze medical claims relevant to workers' compensation cases.
  • Successfully manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Engage in legal research and provide clear written and verbal communication on case developments.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar, in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on workers' compensation law (plaintiff or defense).
  • Experience drafting legal briefs, conducting depositions, and handling courtroom proceedings.
  • Proven track record of successful litigation, especially in workers' compensation cases.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with additional experience in legal software (Needles, Litify) considered a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Courtroom experience, including depositions and testimony.
  • Ability to craft compelling legal briefs and motions.
