A law firm in Bloomington is seeking a Labor Law Attorney with extensive experience in labor and employment matters. The candidate will collaborate with existing attorneys to handle various labor union matters, employment disputes, and regulatory compliance issues for clients.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with employment and labor law attorneys to support clients in labor and employment matters.
  • Represent clients in labor union matters, including union representation petitions, NLRB unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations, and collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
  • Handle a wide range of employment law matters, including ADA, OSHA, FMLA, discrimination, sexual harassment, discipline, terminations, employee handbooks, and disability and leave management.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited United States law school.
  • Admission to practice in the state of Minnesota.
  • 10+ years of prior experience in labor law.
  • Substantial experience in employment law.
  • Strong understanding of labor union matters and collective bargaining agreements.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited United States law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice in the state of Minnesota.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to handle complex labor and employment matters.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
