Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced and driven Associate Attorney with a focus on medical malpractice defense. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil trial work, strong legal writing skills, and a desire to work on complex litigation cases involving professional liability and toxic exposure.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in medical malpractice defense cases, as well as other professional liability and general liability matters.
  • Manage a caseload of civil litigation cases, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and courts.
  • Assist in pre-trial preparation and trial advocacy.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in medical malpractice defense or similar civil litigation.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with depositions, motions, and trial preparation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts (New Hampshire admission is a plus).

Certifications:

  • Must hold active bar admission in Massachusetts.
  • New Hampshire Bar admission is highly desirable.
