Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and other family-related legal issues.
  • Handle TRO cases and navigate the relevant procedures involved.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and provide updates on case progress.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide mentorship.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in or experience with family law, particularly divorce and TRO procedures.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with family law in Hawaii, or willingness to learn.
  • Asian language skills (preferred but not mandatory).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Hawaii Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Experience or strong interest in family law matters, particularly divorce and TRO cases.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
