Employment Litigation & Counseling Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation & Counseling Attorney with 1-4 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. Duties:

• Handle employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour cases.
• Assist with class action lawsuits, including preparation, strategy, and court appearances (class action experience is a plus but not required).
• Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters such as wage and hour laws, employment policies, and manuals.
• Conduct internal investigations regarding sensitive allegations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters and provide strategic advice to clients.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience in employment litigation and/or advice and counseling.
• Strong litigation experience, particularly in employment-related matters such as discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues.
• Familiarity with California civil procedure is a plus.
• Class action experience is desirable, but not required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including legal research and drafting.
• Strong academic credentials and proven litigation and writing skills.
• Ability to handle cases independently, with significant client contact, based on experience.
• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law, with a focus on litigation and counseling.
• Ability to draft and negotiate legal documents and provide client-facing counsel.
• Strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
