Job Overview
A prominent law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated and driven Mid-Level Associate Attorney with a focus on trade secret litigation and complex contract disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in trade secrets, intellectual property, and commercial litigation, providing hands-on support from the discovery phase through to trial and post-trial proceedings.

Duties

• Draft legal pleadings and related documents
• Manage the discovery process, including dispute resolution
• Develop and argue motions in both federal and state courts
• Conduct depositions of witnesses
• Assist in trials and appeals
• Oversee overall case management responsibilities
• Engage with clients to foster strong professional relationships
• Collaborate with other attorneys across practice areas

Requirements

• 4-6 years of litigation experience, with a minimum of 3 years in trade secret, intellectual property, and complex commercial litigation
• Hands-on experience with both Federal and State court procedures
• Ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Client-focused approach with business development acumen

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• An active member of the California Bar

Skills

• Strong case management skills, with experience in discovery and motion practice
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
