Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare compelling legal briefs and memoranda for high-stakes appellate cases.
  • Draft and edit persuasive appellate briefs for submission to appellate courts.
  • Participate in oral arguments, representing the firm's clients in appellate proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, preparing for appellate and Supreme Court arguments.
  • Contribute to the firm's "appellate eyes at trial" practice, advising on motions and issue preservation at the trial court level.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
  • Support senior team members with case management and legal strategy development.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Experience in appellate law, with judicial clerkship experience (preferably in federal or state appellate courts) highly desirable.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent oral communication skills for presenting arguments and engaging in legal discussions.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to handle complex and high-profile legal matters.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
