A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney licensed in the greater Metro Atlanta area to join its retail consumer collections practice. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation. This position involves a comprehensive approach to file management and litigation, requiring strong organizational and technical skills.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of file generation and litigation for retail consumer collections.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct court appearances throughout the state of Georgia.
  • Oversee docket and case management.
  • Collaborate closely with paralegals, courts, and opposing counsel to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Travel within the state as necessary for court appearances and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Active member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation is preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.

Skills:
