Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level Employment & Labor Associate Attorney to join its team in one of four office locations. This position offers significant responsibility within a cohesive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment and labor law, especially in the context of mergers and acquisitions, drafting workplace policies, and providing practical advice to management-side clients.

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Advise on employment and labor law issues during mergers and acquisitions, including conducting due diligence and preparing diligence memoranda.
  • Draft employment-related representations, covenants, executive employment, and separation agreements.
  • Review and draft workplace policies, handbooks, and work rules for companies with national operations.
  • Provide management-side clients with practical advice on workplace laws such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, NLRA, and WARN Act.
  • Manage client engagements with a high level of responsibility and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in employment and labor law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and client management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar of the applicable office location.

Skills:

  • Experience with employment law in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in drafting employment agreements, policies, and workplace handbooks.
  • Strong understanding of workplace regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
