Immigration Attorney (Legal Writting)

Location:

• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

• Draft legal memorandums, appeals, and other documents for immigration-related appellate work
• Prepare and file appeals before EOIR, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and federal circuit courts
• Draft and submit motions to reopen in complex immigration cases
• Handle cases involving FOIA requests, analyzing documents to develop legal strategies
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop compelling case arguments for clients facing removal or seeking relief
• Stay informed on changes and updates in immigration law, particularly related to appellate and federal cases
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court requirements and firm policies

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on legal writing and appellate work
• Demonstrated experience in drafting appeals for EOIR, BIA, and federal circuit courts
• Strong experience with motions to reopen and FOIA-related cases
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate with a legal team to develop case strategies
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction
