A law firm in Hartford, CT, seeks a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with extensive expertise in domestic and global trademark law. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and portfolio management, offering strategic counsel on intellectual property matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough trademark counseling, including clearance searches, analysis, prosecution, and maintenance of trademarks.
  • Develop and implement trademark enforcement strategies, handling disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements and contractual provisions concerning intellectual property and trademarks.
  • Oversee intellectual property due diligence processes for transactions and manage litigation discovery in trademark disputes.
  • Represent clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) when necessary.
  • Advise on trademark portfolio management and maintenance strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in good standing in Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 6 years of specialized experience in trademark law, with a strong emphasis on prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.
  • Proven track record in structuring and negotiating intellectual property agreements.
  • Experience managing intellectual property due diligence and handling litigation discovery in trademark disputes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of domestic and international trademark laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to advocate for clients.
  • Superior technical proficiency in trademark law and related intellectual property matters.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
