Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Securities Associate or Of Counsel with a strong background in investment funds and securities offerings. The ideal candidate will possess over 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings with a primary focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. This role involves representing public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in a wide range of real estate transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work across various U.S. offices, with flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.

Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on complex real estate matters.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing real estate transactions.
  • Meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and provide timely and accurate legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on real estate law.
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
  • Proven ability to represent clients in complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong legal research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong business judgment and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which the position is located.

Skills:
