A law firm based in Fresno, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Immigration Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal counsel to clients, and work closely with a team of experienced attorneys and legal professionals.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel and guidance on complex immigration matters.
• Represent clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), including both detained and non-detained individuals.
• Handle a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progression and resolution of cases.
• Conduct intake interviews and visits with detained clients at detention centers.
• Prepare and file a wide range of immigration petitions, including removal defense and family-based immigration cases.
• Review and adjust immigration applications to ensure compliance and optimal strategy.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations on immigration law updates and issues.
• Advise clients during strategic consultations, assessing their cases and advising on the most appropriate immigration strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before USCIS or in court proceedings.
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis and advocacy to maximize case outcomes.
• Draft and submit legal briefs, motions, and other documentation for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven track record in advancing immigration cases and managing a caseload efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Ability to work with diverse clients and manage a high-volume caseload.
• Experience in handling Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, Detained cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
• Experience with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active and valid State Bar membership.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California (or eligibility for admission to the California Bar).

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration law, policies, and procedures.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
