Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of legal experience, with a strong interest in state and federal litigation practice. The role involves researching and drafting motions and briefs, participating in discovery, and managing cases and clients. The firm welcomes candidates with diverse litigation experiences, such as oil and gas, energy, fiduciary litigation, employment, privacy, antitrust, securities, etc. Preference will be given to candidates with district court or appellate court clerkship experience, and deposition, hearing, and trial experience are beneficial.

Job Duties:

  • Research and draft motions and briefs for various litigation matters.
  • Participate in all aspects of the discovery process.
  • Manage cases and client relationships effectively.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong interest in and/or prior exposure to state/federal litigation practice.
  • Experience across the litigation spectrum (e.g., oil and gas, energy, fiduciary litigation, employment, privacy, antitrust, securities, etc.) is welcomed.
  • District court or appellate court clerkship experience preferred.
  • Deposition, hearing, and trial experience are beneficial.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong case management and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative legal team.
