A law firm seeks an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in San Francisco. This non-partnership track role focuses on structured securities offerings, particularly within commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions and will provide high-quality representation for a diverse client base, including real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors.

Duties:

  • Oversee structured securities offerings, ensuring legal compliance and strategic alignment with client goals.
  • Represent clients in a range of transactions, including acquisitions, sales, restructuring, complex financing, and development in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Provide insightful legal advice on real estate finance, transaction structuring, and portfolio management.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to facilitate seamless transaction execution.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support complex financial transactions and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in structured securities offerings.
  • Extensive background in commercial real estate law, with a focus on finance, acquisitions, and sales.
  • Familiarity with structuring, regulatory requirements, and best practices for real estate investment transactions.
  • Previous experience with a top-tier law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Admission to the California Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, persuasive written communications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
