Litigation Labor And Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 2 years of experience to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, excellent litigation skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload. This role involves representing clients in various labor and employment disputes, providing legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws.

Duties:

• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and labor relations.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Advise clients on labor and employment law compliance, policies, and best practices.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and legal strategies.
• Manage and oversee a high-volume caseload, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
• Stay current with changes in labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Provide training and seminars to clients on labor and employment issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• Proven track record of handling a variety of labor and employment cases.
• Strong understanding of California and federal labor and employment laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
