Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm located in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney passionate about litigation and consumer collections. The ideal candidate should have experience or a strong interest in consumer collections and a commitment to advocating for clients effectively both in and out of court. The position emphasizes quality, integrity, and achieving results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Engage with opposing counsel and pro se parties to negotiate and resolve disputes amicably.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other relevant documents.
  • Document account and case activity by firm and client guidelines.
  • Travel to state courts to manage all phases of the litigation process.
  • Conduct legal research, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations, and prepare legal opinions for review.
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with clients to strengthen and develop client relationships.
  • Participate in continuing education courses, webinars, and seminars to stay updated on legal changes, court rules, and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Active attorney license in Arizona with no disciplinary history.
  • Preferable knowledge of state civil litigation processes and federal consumer protection laws.
  • Ability to collaborate and leverage resources effectively for high-quality solutions.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate colleagues and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills suitable for diverse audiences, including both attorneys and non-attorneys.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Arizona Bar license required.
