CTIA Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CTIA (Copyright, Trademark, Internet, and Advertising) Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and participate in all phases of litigation, including preparing discovery materials and drafting substantive motions and memoranda.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses, prepare for depositions, and attend court hearings and depositions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Develop and present written and oral arguments in court and during negotiations.
• Engage in copyright and trademark litigation, focusing on cases involving complex IP and advertising issues.
• Provide counseling on copyright and trademark matters, including prosecution and enforcement.
• Address Internet-related IP issues, including domain disputes and online content protection.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of litigation experience, with a focus on intellectual property law.
• Experience preparing discovery, drafting motions, and working with experts.
• Substantive experience with copyright, trademark, and advertising law.
• Outstanding research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in written and oral advocacy.
• Familiarity with copyright and trademark prosecution and counseling.
• Experience with Internet-related IP issues is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).
