Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Mission Viejo, CA, is seeking a dedicated Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess experience handling commercial, general, and professional liability matters and be proficient in analyzing coverage and writing coverage opinions for insurers.

Duties:

• Handle coverage litigation matters involving commercial, general, and professional liability.
• Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage opinions.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in discovery and deposition preparation.
• Attend court hearings and proceedings as required.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California and good standing with the State Bar.
• Experience in coverage litigation and insurance law.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience drafting coverage opinions.
• Proven ability to handle a caseload independently and work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certification in Insurance Coverage or related field (preferred).
