Duties

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to assess and evaluate cases, providing legal support and guidance.
  • Develop case strategies and devise practical solutions to legal issues.
  • Assist in preparing litigation reports and conducting risk assessments.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Participate in focus groups to improve case strategy and gather insights.
  • Stay current on relevant legislation and legal developments.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, depositions, contracts, and discovery responses.
  • Negotiate low-level settlements and attend mediations.
  • Assist in mentoring and training junior legal staff within the team.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar with a valid license to practice law.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in litigation.
  • Willingness to engage directly with clients and handle a substantial caseload.
  • Expertise or interest in automotive product liability or related fields.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance with legal regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and experts.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, public speaking, and negotiation skills.

Education
