Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on legal issues affecting the firm's clients.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with corporate transactions and operations.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiations, as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting corporate law.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports and recommendations to clients and senior management.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in corporate law with a strong interest in this area.
  • Must be licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in Nebraska.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex legal matters effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and a demonstrated interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to examine and analyze legal documents and cases for inherent risks.
  • Effective analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Nebraska State Bar or eligibility to become licensed.
