Job Overview:
A law firm in Houston, TX, seeks a Cyber, Privacy, And Data Innovation Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be able to work on a robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across various clients in the firm's industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy. They will assume early and significant responsibility in managing all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including working directly with clients, managing all aspects of discovery, taking and defending depositions, making court appearances, handling oral arguments at key hearings, and handling mediations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation across various clients in the firm's industry verticals, including class actions.
  • Manage all complex disputes and litigation aspects, including working directly with clients.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery with the support of the firm's industry-leading eDiscovery, Analytics, and Litigation Support team.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Make court appearances and handle oral arguments at key hearings.
  • Handle mediations.
  • Balance working independently with being a strong team member.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Membership to the TX State Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent legal research abilities.
  • Superb writing and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership to the TX State Bar.
