Duties:

• Represent clients in consumer collection litigation, offering legal advice and strategy throughout the legal collection process.
• Engage in case preparation, including drafting legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Communicate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to negotiate disputes and resolve issues amicably.
• Travel to various courts within the state as required, managing all aspects of case litigation.
• Research laws, rulings, and regulations to provide accurate legal opinions and strategies.
• Maintain client relationships by providing timely updates and addressing concerns.
• Attend professional development courses to stay current on legal trends, laws, and court procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must hold an active license to practice law in the state of California.
• No prior disciplinary history.
• Experience in consumer collection litigation with advanced knowledge and thorough understanding of the legal regulatory framework of the industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation and consumer protection laws.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently.
• Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external clients.
• Motivated and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California.
