Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and handle multiple high-level legal matters simultaneously, from inception to conclusion.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on life sciences intellectual property issues, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and attorneys, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Produce high-quality legal work and meet billing requirements to ensure excellent client service.
  • Generate new business opportunities through individual and group efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.
  • Work independently and productively, showing a strong interest in advancing a career in litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred.
  • Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in Colorado.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or in a clerking position.
  • 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm is preferred.

Skills:

  • Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and provide strategic guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters effectively.
