Job Overview: A growing law firm is seeking a passionate EOIR Immigration Attorney to join the team in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, engage in client interaction, and collaborate with an experienced team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on immigration matters and present strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a caseload of immigration cases, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration centers.
  • Prepare, review, and adjust immigration applications as needed for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Conduct client consultations, providing legal analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law, particularly EOIR proceedings.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
