Job Overview
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney to support its Tennessee practice. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections, with strong leadership, litigation, and appellate skills. This position offers an opportunity to work on a high volume of cases in creditors' rights, while also contributing to the firm's growth and reputation. The role will require active court appearances and possible travel, while providing a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Location

Duties

  • Handle a significant volume of cases in creditors' rights, including mortgage foreclosure and collections

  • Represent clients in court hearings and litigation matters

  • Resolve discovery issues, conduct depositions, and handle conflict resolution

  • Assist in appellate matters and apply knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code

  • Proactively develop relationships within the industry and foster trust with clients and colleagues

  • Lead and mentor junior attorneys and staff

  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by enhancing its presence as a top-performing firm

  • Occasional travel for court appearances or client meetings

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Tennessee State Bar

  • 8+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections

  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases in creditors' rights

  • Strong leadership and client relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of the Tennessee state legal system and court processes

  • Experience with discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution

  • Appellate experience preferred

  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred

  • Willingness to travel for court appearances as necessary

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar License in the state of Tennessee (Required)

  • Multiple state bar licenses are a plus
