This is a full-time, on-site position that offers a balanced work environment with extensive paralegal support and a 37.5-hour workweek. The successful candidate will represent clients in administrative hearings and trials, providing high-quality legal services in workers' compensation and social security disability matters.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in administrative hearings related to Social Security disability claims and Workers' Compensation cases
  • Handle cases at the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (Social Security) and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (Workers' Compensation)
  • Conduct superior court trials as required
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions
  • Perform thorough legal research and apply findings to case strategies
  • Meet with clients, manage case files, and maintain a high level of client communication
  • Manage deadlines and handle cases independently with minimal supervision
  • Work closely with a team of paralegals to ensure efficient case management
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and procedures, particularly in workers' compensation and social security law

Requirements:

  • Strong legal research skills, with proficiency in using LexisNexis and Westlaw
  • Experience with legal drafting and conducting in-depth legal research
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation law and legal administrative tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
