Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Native American litigation team. This role provides the opportunity to represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in complex matters involving tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination. Additionally, the position involves litigating complex commercial and construction disputes. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in Native American legal matters, including tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.

  • Handle complex commercial and construction litigation.

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents.

  • Participate in hearings, trials, depositions, and oral arguments.

  • Advise clients on litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Federal Indian Law, litigation, or administrative law.

  • Trial, deposition, hearing, and oral argument experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent writing and oral communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Certifications:

  • State Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice or the ability to obtain admission.
